Cubs promote veteran reliever Soriano to Triple-A

Reliever Rafael Soriano has been promoted to Triple-A Iowa, according to Cubs.com.

The Cubs signed the 35-year old right-hander on June 9 and he pitched well in Double-A prior to the promotion.

Soriano is a 13-year Major League veteran, that the Cubs are hoping will strengthen their bullpen toward the end of the season.
