Could Nolasco be returning to the Twins' rotation soon?
The Minnesota Twins received good news on right-hander Ricky Nolasco this weekend.
Nolasco has been on the 15-day disabled list with elbow inflammation since April 10. He made a rehab start for Class-A Cedar Rapids on Sunday, and reports were positive, according to MLB.com:
Nolasco went five innings and threw 67 pitches. He gave up one unearned run on three hits and struck out five without walking a batter.
"Ricky threw the ball well," Molitor said. "Velocity was 91-93, settled in around 92 and had no physical restraint, so [a decision is] going to be coming around here pretty soon."
Before going on the disabled list, Nolasco was 0-1 with an ERA of 18.00 in one start for the Twins. Last season, he went 6-12 with a 5.38 ERA in 27 starts for the Twins.
