Burglars make off with Beltre's 2011 AL championship ring, Rangers tickets

Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre was the unfortunate victim of a burglary at his home in the Bluffview/Preston Hollow area last week, according to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News.

Apparently, the thieves broke into his home on Thursday, after Beltre had headed to Globe Life Park for the Rangers' game with the Oakland Athletics.

Grant reported that the police report stated that 'precious metals and jewelry' were among the items stolen - and that includes the ring Beltre was given after the Rangers won the AL pennant in 2011.

In a bit of an odd twist, Beltre said the burglars also took tickets to his personal suite at Globe Life Park (ostensibly not realizing that if they showed up to a game in the suite, they'd be effectively turning themselves in). Regarding that scenario, Beltre told Grant, "I’d like to see them show up there. I’m just glad nobody was home."
