Braves' McCann going back to eyeglasses

Published May. 7, 2010 9:55 p.m. ET

Atlanta Braves catcher Brian McCann is going back to eyeglasses despite having laser surgery in the offseason to correct his vision.

McCann has been out of Atlanta's lineup the past two games because he's been experiencing vision problems in his right eye. He'll play with glasses on Saturday.

A four-time All-Star, McCann is batting .243 with two homers and nine RBIs.

McCann had his first laser surgery in 2007, but had difficulty with blurred vision at the start of last season. He couldn't use contacts and then struggled to find glasses he could wear under his catcher's mask.
