Braves All-Star voting update: Support thin beyond Pierzynski

Published May. 27, 2015 6:33 p.m. ET

The MLB released its first voting update for the 2015 All-Star game, which revealed that the Atlanta Braves aren't getting much support for the Midsummer Classic.

The only Braves player to finish in the top five in his position in the National League was veteran catcher A.J. Pierzynski, who ranks fourth among NL catchers with 347,094 votes.

Pierzynski hasn't made the All-Star team in nearly a decade since being selected for the 2006 American League team with the Chicago White Sox.

The 37-year-old trails the next catcher up, the Cubs' Miguel Montero, by a mere 235 votes.
