Blue Jays' manager Gibbons on Samardzija: 'We'd love to have him'

Before tossing a complete game shutout against the Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago White Sox ace (and potential trade chip) Jeff Samardzija was a topic of conversation for Jays manager John Gibbons.

"We'd love to have him," he told the media.

The Blue Jays have made it perfectly clear what they've been targeting at the trade deadline - pitching.

Samardzija is a prime candidate to be traded, as he has front-line stuff and will be a free agent following the 2015 season.
