Blue Jays' Gibbons giving Royals credit where credit is due

In ALCS Game 6, the Toronto Blue Jays were eliminated in a 4-3 loss to the Kansas City Royals.

Many times in sports and in baseball, after a loss, a team is quick to point out something they could have done differently. Maybe a call that didn't go their way.

After the Jays were eliminated from the 2015 season, however, manager John Gibbons tipped his cap to the Royals.

"You know what, every once in a while you've got to give credit to the other side," Gibbons told the media in a postgame press conference via MLB.com. "They got to this round like us because they have great pitching. When they turn over the bullpen, you saw what you saw tonight."

Despite a rain delay after the eighth inning, the Royals bullpen was solid, giving up just three hits (including one home run) over 3 2/3 innings pitched.

The Royals will go on to face the New York Mets in the World Series beginning on Tuesday, October 27.
