Astros' Paulino has setback, Moehler placed on DL

Houston Astros starting pitcher Felipe Paulino has had a setback in a side throwing session and will not come off the disabled list next week, as scheduled.

Paulino, out since June 20 with right shoulder tendinitis, will fly back to Houston for an MRI exam. He was supposed to come off the disabled list Tuesday to start in Chicago.

Astros general manager Ed Wade said Paulino didn't feel right, and trainer Nathan Lucero was not comfortable with where the pitcher's strength was.

To create a roster spot for a starter for Tuesday's game, Houston placed Brian Moehler on the disabled list, retroactive to July 8. Moehler has not pitched since leaving a start on July 7 against Pittsburgh due to a strained right groin.
