A's Burns talks speed, path to MLB, Rickey and more on 'MLB Central'


The Oakland Athletics have seen great things out of Billy Burns so far this season. He's collected more than 80 base hits and been a catalyst atop the lineup - in addition to making ridiculous defensive plays on a regular basis.
With the A's in New York to face the Yankees this week, Burns paid a visit to MLB Network's 'MLB Central' to chat with Matt Vasgersian, Eric Byrnes and the crew about his career, his upbringing, playing with the A's and speed - a skill he has in abundance. Here's video of his interview:

For a minor leaguer obtained by the A's without much fanfare in the 2013 trade that sent Jerry Blevins to the Washington Nationals, Oakland has to be thrilled with what it's seen from Burns so far.
