A.M. Wahoo's: Indians in Toronto With a Chance to Sweep

The Cleveland Indians have the ability to remain undefeated in the postseason as they head to Toronto for Game 3 of the ALCS.
The Cleveland Indians entered the postseason with plenty of doubters, but a 5-0 start has all but quieted the negativity as the Indians look to go up 3-0 in Toronto tonight.
The offense has only scored four runs in the first two games of the ALCS, but the pitching has allowed just one run in that span. Andrew Miller has been the face of this dominance, with ten strikeouts and just one hit allowed in the ALCS, but Corey Kluber, Josh Tomlin and Cody Allen have been major factors as well.
The series is not close to over, but the Indians pitching staff has been able to neutralize another great offense in the Toronto Blue Jays, after doing the same to the Boston Red Sox. After a while, it becomes more about how great the pitching is instead of how bad the opposing offense is doing.
The series now heads to Toronto, where the next three games will take place if necessary. With Trevor Bauer pitching Game 3 and Corey Kluber potentially returning for Game 4, the Indians are certainly in good hands.
It will come down to the play of the offense, as two runs in each game may not be enough to continue pulling off victories. The pitching has been dominant, but even allowing three or four runs against this Blue Jays offense would be considered a success. It would also be nice to get out to a large lead, as the rest of the bullpen could get some work in, saving Andrew Miller’s arm for future games. It would also be nice to watch a game in which the Indians had a comfortable lead. Would help control the stress levels in Northeast Ohio.
But this is the playoffs, so fans should be ready for a nail-biter tonight. While we wait for first pitch, let’s take a look at the news surrounding the Indians and the rest of the MLB in today’s edition of A.M. Wahoo’s.
