Five-star QB Eason signs financial-aid papers with Georgia

Published Aug. 19, 2015 11:44 a.m. ET

Five-star quarterback prospect Jacob Eason has been committed to Georgia since July 2014 and looks to be as firm with that commitment today as he was over a year ago when he committed. The latest evidence of that fact? Eason plans to sign financial-aid papers with the Bulldogs Friday:

By signing the papers, Eason has not locked himself into leaving Georgia before he can officially enroll in January, however by signing the agreement with the school, the Bulldogs have the right to unlimited communication with the quarterback prospect.

The move also puts Eason on track to enroll early in January, giving him a better opportunity to earn the starting job in the fall of 2016.
