Morison not thinking of Team GB

Wales skipper Ramsey and compatriot Gareth Bale both posed in a

blue supporters’ shirt for the Team GB Olympic team manufactured by

their personal sponsors Adidas, sparking an ongoing saga over

whether they should play for Stuart Pearce’s side at the Games.

Both players have stated their desire to play for Team GB, but the

Football Association of Wales do not want any of the Welsh squad

involved as they fear it will harm their standing as an individual

association within FIFA. The issue has completely dominated the

build-up to Saturday’s friendly between Wales and Norway at Cardiff

City Stadium, but Ramsey has insisted he doesn’t regret the photo

shoot. And City’s Wales striker Morison told The Pink ‘Un: “I think

it was only natural that they (Ramsey and Bale) are the two players

who would get picked if they are allowed to play. “I think it was

more to do with sponsorship than anything to do with them. I am

just lucky that I will not have to worry about it.”
