Bruce wary of struggling sides

The Black Cats currently lie in 13th place in the Premier League on

38 points, five adrift of Stoke in 10th with just four games to

play. Their hopes of a top-half finish were dealt a blow by last

weekend’s 1-0 defeat at struggling West Ham, and although three of

their remaining fixtures are against sides in the bottom seven –

Burnley, Hull and Wolves – Bruce knows from their experience at

Upton Park that there is little room for complacency. He said: “On

paper, we have got the bottom teams, but they can be very

difficult. They are fighting for their lives. “We have played very

well against the so-called bigger teams, so it will be an

interesting run-in and I hope we can finish strongly. “My aim is

can we catch Fulham, cam we catch Stoke, can we catch Blackburn?”
