Tony Stewart rips 2015 rules package in profanity-laced tirade

Tony Stewart’s best finish in three races this season is 30th.

The three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion and co-owner of Stewart-Haas Racing is 34th in points after finishing 33rd and five laps down in Sunday’s Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway where he struggled all race long with an ill-handling car.

No wonder he’s not happy.

It turns out, however, that Stewart isn’t just less-than-thrilled about the performance of his No. 14 SHR team. He’s also no fan of NASCAR’s 2015 rules package, which features less horsepower and lower downforce on all Sprint Cup Series cars compared with a season ago.

Take a listen as Stewart goes off on a profanity-laced tirade about the handling of his car — and expresses his displeasure about the new rules package — during Sunday’s race in Sin City where teammate Kevin Harvick went to Victory Lane.
