Finishes Seventh at Daytona Allmendinger would race from the back to the front three times Sunday and finish the O'Reilly Auto Parts 253 in seventh-place, Kaulig Racing PR reports.
Impact It was by no means easy, and Allmendinger would really have to work overtime Sunday at the Daytona Road Course. However, the veteran driver was able to pilot the team's No. 16 Chevrolet to a great finish on the Daytona circuit. After starting 34th on the grid and overcoming poor track position and different times, Allmendinger would collect his first Cup Series Top-10 finish since 2018. "That was a lot of fun," Allmendinger said. "I wish we could have kept the track position, but to restart in the back with eight laps to go and finish seventh, that's a great day."
