Impact Thomas is the style of receiver that is valuable to his team, but brings less to the fantasy space. He has 26 catches through four games, which is quite good, but he's a release-valve receiver, not a big-play threat. Thomas has turned those 26 catches into 284 yards, and he has only found the end zone once.

Kenny Odom - Big game versus CSU Odom caught seven passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns against Colorado State on Saturday.
Impact What's notable is that both of Odom's touchdowns came after Skyler Locklear was replaced at quarterback by Cade McConnell. Thus, it doesn't seem like a change under center will cramp his style. After doing nothing in UTEP's opener, Odom has 189 yards and three touchdowns over his last three games.

Jevon Jackson - Held to 36 yards Jackson ran 10 times for 36 yards Saturday against Colorado State.
Impact Unfortunately for UTEP, it seems like the "What if we just port over the Austin Peay offense?" experiment is not working out. Jackson is a prime example of that. He ran for 1,373 yards and 10 touchdowns at the FCS level in 2023. This year, he's tallied 214 yards and zero rushing scores through four games.

Cade McConnell - Throws two TDs in relief McConnell replaced a struggling Skyler Locklear against Colorado State on Saturday. He went 19-for-29 for 220 yards and two touchdowns.
Impact It's understandable why Scotty Walden gave Locklear, one of his recruits at Austin Peay, the first shot with UTEP. However, Locklear had never started at the FCS level, much less the FBS level. McConnell was UTEP's starter the second half of last season, and he seems primed to step back into that role, either now or later.

Skyler Locklear - Could be out as starter Locklear went 7-for-15 for 56 yards and an interception against Colorado State on Saturday and was replaced by Cade McConnell at quarterback at the half.
Impact Locklear was a Scotty Walden recruit at Austin Peay, and followed him head coach to UTEP. He was given the first shot to start for the revamped Miners, but on the year he has 710 passing yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions. McConnell took over as UTEP's starter last season. Maybe he's a steadier hand for the team.
