Luke Gilbert - Catches TD Gilbert caught three passes for 55 yards and a touchdown Tuesday against FIU.

Impact Early in the year the tight end had a couple of games with a single catch that went for a long TD, but that didn't feel sustainable. However, he's now had three catches for at least 50 yards in each of his last two outings, and that is intriguing from a sustainability standpoint.

Deondre Johnson - Reels in TD Johnson has four catches for 93 yards and a score Tuesday against FIU.

Impact Johnson started the season slow, but he is the focal point of the JSU passing attack and he has benefited from that. He's had at least 57 receiving yards in each of the last five games, and he's scored in three of his last four outings.

Justus Savage - Rushes for TD Savage ran seven times for 44 yards and a score Tuesday against FIU.

Impact After a few seasons of having a star running back, Jacksonville State is throwing everything at the wall this year. These are Savage's first carries on the season, so we shall see what happens after the bye for the Gamecocks.

Caden Creel - Throws two TDs, INT Creel went 16-for-22 for 214 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception against FIU on Tuesday. He also ran 19 times for 95 yards.

Impact As a quarterback in a run-heavy offense without a viable lead running back, Creel is shouldering a sizable load for the Gamecocks this season. While that has led to seven turnovers in seven games, Creel has thrown for 12 touchdowns and he's picked up 500 yards and four scores on the ground.

Jalen Likely - Rushes for TD Likely ran 11 times for 40 yards and a touchdown and added three catches for 26 yards Wednesday against Kennesaw State.

Impact When you're Jacksonville State, you can't rely on "next man up" like some programs. This had been a school that would bring in a running back who excelled and then watched them move onto a bigger school before doing it all over again. This year, the Gamecocks didn't find that back. Likely is leading the way, and he has 201 rushing yards through five games.

Caden Creel - TDs two ways Creel went 26-for-44 for 311 yards, one touchdown, and one interception against Kennesaw State on Wednesday. He also ran for 30 yards and a touchdown.

Impact Creel hasn't aired it out much this year, save for against Eastern Kentucky. However, this is the third time in four games that he has had a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown, and he has rushed for 405 yards on the campaign.

Andrew Paul - Will miss rest of season Paul (undisclosed) is out for the rest of the 2026 season.

Impact Paul will be sidelined not only for Wednesday's contest, but for the rest of the 2026 campaign. The senior tailback was a depth option in the backfield, and he didn't play a single game this season, so his absence won't be an issue from a fantasy perspective.

Justus Savage - Available to play Wednesday Savage (undisclosed) is available for Wednesday's game at Kennesaw State.

Impact Savage is set to return to the active roster after missing several games. However, he should be a depth option in the backfield, so even if he's set to return, he shouldn't have a big role in the rushing attack.

Darius Cannon - Tallies six receptions Cannon caught six passes for 48 yards against MTSU on Saturday.

Impact In JSU's efficiency-first, short-pass offense, Cannon seems to have emerged as an outlet. He has 11 catches over the last two games, but for 102 yards total.

Impact The Gamecocks don't air it out offensively, but Johnson always gets his looks and makes the most of them. He's been over 55 yards three games in a row, and he's scored in back-to-back outings.

Lucas Farrington - Over 100 total yads Farrington ran 12 times for 94 yards and had two catches for 24 yards against MTSU on Saturday.

Impact One splash play can earn you an opportunity. Farrington only got four carries in Week 3, but thanks to a touchdown run he found himself getting the most touches of any Jacksonville State running back, and based on this performance that should continue to be the case.

Caden Creel - Big day rushing Creel went 19-for-27 for 241 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions against MTSU on Saturday, but he also rushed 12 times for 119 yards and a score.

Impact Creel's job is to be efficient passing, and indeed he has completed over 70 percent of his passes in each of his last four games. However, his real work is done on the ground, and he's now rushed 76 times for 375 yards and three scores.
