Deondre Johnson - Eclipses 100 yards in victory Johnson caught six passes for 101 yards during Tuesday's 17-13 victory versus Troy.
Impact Johnson started to catch steam at the end of the 2025 season, and he capped off the year with another 100-yard performance, his fourth in the Gamecocks' last seven games. The sophomore wideout finished the season with 30 grabs for 724 yards and six touchdowns, and with two years of eligibility remaining, looks to have a bright future.
DECEMBER 17 • ROTOWIRE
Caden Creel - Offers just enough as a passer Creel was 14-for-20 passing for 173 yards and one touchdown during Tuesday's 17-13 win versus Troy. He also had 13 rushes for -10 yards.
Impact Though Creel didn't stuff the stat sheet, he was efficient, completing 70 percent of his throws, and he didn't turn the ball over, both of which are steps in the right direction for the redshirt sophomore gunslinger. In his first year of action with the Gamecocks, he tossed for 1,514 yards, nine touchdowns and four interceptions while rushing for 1,075 yards and seven scores. The ability Creel flashed as a dual threat will likely earn him more chances at a starting gig in his remaining two years of eligibility.
DECEMBER 17 • ROTOWIRE
Jalen Likely - Records rushing attempt Likely (undisclosed) logged a rushing attempt during Tuesday's 17-13 win over Troy.
Impact Jacksonville State participated in the Cramton Bowl. During 2025, Likely logged seven rushing attempts for 52 yards, 7.4 averaged per carry. He also recorded three receptions without any drops.

2025 CFB Conference Title Odds: Lines, Spreads for all 9 Games
Cam Cook - Surpasses 100 total yards in loss Cook totaled 19 carries for 78 yards and one touchdown and gathered in all four targets for 23 yards during Friday's 19-15 loss against Kennesaw State.
Impact Cook recorded another huge outing, even in a loss for the Gamecocks, and he surpassed 100 yards for the thirteenth straight game of the season. The starting running back will now shift his efforts to Jax State's upcoming bowl game, after a rough conference championship loss.
DECEMBER 6 • ROTOWIRE
Caden Creel - Struggles as passer in loss Creel completed 12 of 21 passes for 96 yards and one interception during Friday's 19-15 defeat versus Kennesaw State. He also had 18 rushes for 112 yards with one touchdown.
Impact Creel couldn't get it going on the passing front in the eventual championship loss to the Owls, but he did salvage his performance with 112 rushing yards and a score on the ground. The redshirt sophomore quarterback will now turn his focus to an upcoming bowl game after a solid season as the Gamecocks' starting quarterback for most of the year.
DECEMBER 6 • ROTOWIRE
Gavin Wimsatt - Logs one rush in win Wimsatt logged one rush for nine yards during Friday's 19-15 loss versus Kennesaw State.
Impact Wimsatt saw a small rushing role in an eventual championship loss to the Owls. The 6-foot-3 senior was benched earlier this season, but he still saw a small role in the latter half of the season. He finished the year with 731 passing yards, four touchdowns, two interceptions and 52 carries for 263 yards and four scores.

Lucas Farrington - Available Friday night Farrington (undisclosed) is available for the Gamecocks on Friday night in the Conference USA title game.
Impact Farrington has just one catch for 11 yards this season; his availability means very little for the Gamecocks' offense.
DECEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Brock Rechsteiner - Good to go vs. Kennesaw State Rechsteiner (undisclosed) isn't listed on the Gamecocks' injury report ahead of Friday night's Conference USA title game.
Impact Rechsteiner was expected to play after missing Week 14, and indeed, the wideout will be available for Jacksonville State. He's reeled in 33 catches for 356 yards and four touchdowns as a regular factor in the Gamecocks' passing game.

Kennesaw State vs. Jacksonville State Prediction, Odds, Picks - December 5, 2025
Brock Rechsteiner - Expected to play title game Jacksonville State's head coach Charles Kelly said Tuesday that he expects Rechsteiner (foot) to play in Friday's game against Kennesaw State, Thomas Ashworth of AL.com reports.
Impact Jacksonville State hosted Western Kentucky in Week 14, and Rechsteiner was seen wearing a protective boot, which confirms why he did not play then. Fortunately for the wide receiver, also Jax State's top wideout this season, it looks like he will not sit out the CUSA Championship Game that the team qualified for this season. Rechsteiner has 356 receiving yards and five total touchdowns.
DECEMBER 2 • ROTOWIRE
Brock Rechsteiner - DNP for Week 14 Rechsteiner (undisclosed) sat out Saturday's win over Western Kentucky.
Impact Rechsteiner missed his first game of the season as he's currently battling an undisclosed injury. He has caught 33 passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns in 10 games this season and will look to make his return to the field for Friday's conference championship matchup versus Kennesaw State.

Jacksonville State beats Western Kentucky 37-34 to reach CUSA championship game

NOVEMBER 29 • Associated Press
Pearson Baldwin - Finds end zone Baldwin caught two passes for 18 yards and a touchdown against WKU on Saturday.
Impact That's back-to-back games with a touchdown for Baldwin. As is often the case for a tight end, those are also his only touchdowns on the season as he heads into the conference title game.
NOVEMBER 29 • ROTOWIRE
Deondre Johnson - Another touchdown in another win Johnson caught five passes for 122 yards and a touchdown versus WKU on Saturday.
Impact The Gamecocks could have gotten into the conference title game just off of the legs of Caden Creel and Cam Cook, but when Johnson emerged out of nowhere the offense did gain another dimension. The redshirt sophomore had five catches over his first seven games. Over his last five he has 15 catches for 491 yards and six scores.
NOVEMBER 29 • ROTOWIRE
Cam Cook - TD streak continues Cook ran 25 times for 137 yards and a touchdown and added two catches for 31 yards against WKU on Saturday.
Impact That makes three games in a row with over 130 rushing yards and a touchdown for Cook. Also, his ninth game in a row with a touchdown. Cook is already closing in on 1,600 rushing yards and he has 15 rushing touchdowns. He will play in the conference title game next week, but then it becomes a question of if he plays in the bowl, or if he has the transfer portal on his mind. Hopefully he plays both games to see just how big his numbers can get on the season.
NOVEMBER 29 • ROTOWIRE
Caden Creel - Huge game in huge win Creel went 12-for-19 for 204 yards and two touchdowns against WKU on Saturday. He also ran 20 times for 143 yards and a touchdown, but lost a fumble.
Impact Hey, you can get away with losing a fumble when you run for 143 yards and a score as a quarterback. Creel didn't even start all season and he's going to end up with over 1,000 yards rushing. That's an easy call, as this win earned JSU a spot in the conference title game.
NOVEMBER 29 • ROTOWIRE
Nabi Hoyt - Cleared to play Week 14 Hoyt (undisclosed) is off the injury report for Saturday's game against Western Kentucky.
Impact Hoyt had been out since Week 5 due to an undisclosed injury and appears he will be available for the last game of the regular season. He has yet to record a catch this season.
NOVEMBER 29 • ROTOWIRE
Brock Rechsteiner - Questionable for Week 14 Rechsteiner (undisclosed) is questionable for Saturday's game against Western Kentucky.
Impact Rechsteiner is a new addition to Jacksonville State's availability report, which had not included him until Saturday. If he cannot go in Week 14, Jacksonville State's next game will either be in the 2025 CUSA Championship Game or a bowl matchup sometime later.
