Impact Duke's passing offense barely surpassed 130 yards, but Hasley was the favorite target of San Jose State transfer quarterback Walker Eget. While this passing game remains a work in progress, Hasley should be a big factor week in and week out, as Eget clearly loves looking his way.

But he had never put up a stat-line like this before, rushing for well over 227 yards on a workhorse-like 35 carries. Duke's new quarterback Walker Eget was just fine through the air; expect the Blue Devils to rely on their ground game -- and their budding superstar Sheppard -- heavily this fall.

Impact Eget only completed half his passes for just over 130 yards, but Duke hardly needed him to throw the ball. Star tailback Nate Sheppard was unstoppable, rushing for 227 yards and pummeling Tulane into submission on the ground. There will be games in which Eget needs to be more proficient through the air, of course, but the Blue Devils got the job done Saturday.
