Maddux Madsen - Stumbles out of the gate Madsen was 25-for-46 passing for 225 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 34-7 loss versus South Florida. He also had 11 rushes for 31 yards.

Impact Making his first start in the post-Ashton Jeanty era, Madsen struggled to generate much on offense. The redshirt junior led the Broncos on a touchdown drive late in the first quarter before being shut out for the remainder of the contest. While Madsen didn't make any glaring mistakes, he only averaged 4.9 yards per pass attempt. He'll have an opportunity to bounce back next week in Boise State's home opener against Eastern Washington.
