ImpactMurray wasn't particularly efficient from the floor during Thursday's defeat, but he was perfect from the charity stripe to lead the Hawkeyes in scoring. Although he's come off the bench in all but one of his appearances this season, he's now scored in double figures in four of the last six games. Across that span, the sophomore has averaged 13.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in 19.2 minutes per contest.

ImpactAfter starting the previous game and going scoreless over 12 minutes, it appears coach Matt painter elected to give him the night off Thursday. The sophomore has struggled to replicate his freshman success this season and has seen his minutes decline, averaging just 9.8 per game over his last five appearances. It doesn't appear as though Newman's absence was due to any issue, so he should still be available for the Boilers moving forward.

Jaden Ivey - Minimal rust in returnIvey logged 15 points (5-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-7 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal over 21 minutes during Thursday's 83-73 victory over Iowa.
ImpactIvey appeared off the bench for the first time this season and played only 21 minutes but still managed to rack up 15 points while connecting on 75 percent of his attempts from deep. he did struggle from the free-throw line, but that's unlikely to be an issue moving forward and Ivey figures to rejoin the starting lineup as soon as Sunday against Ohio State.
