Impact Without both Braden Smith and Trey Kaufman-Renn, Purdue's team requires new leadership, and perhaps it can include Mayer. For the most part, playing in Europe translated well to the NCAA's collegiate level. During his 2025-26 season, he logged 5.5 points, 1.2 assists and 1.1 rebounds per game. Mayer also recorded a 41.2 field goal percentage and shot 35.5 percent from outside the three-point arc, so his scoring efficiency is there.
