Bennett Stirtz - 19 points not enough for upset Stirtz ended Wednesday's 79-72 loss to Purdue with 19 points (7-15 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds and four assists in 37 minutes.

Impact Stirtz played admirably against a rugged Boilermakers squad and, as has become the norm, was Iowa's leading scorer. However, he was cold from distance, hitting just 22 percent of his shots from beyond the arc. As a team, Iowa shot nearly 50 percent from three-point range in Mackey Arena, but the point guard couldn't get in on the long range barrage. Stirtz will look to help get Iowa back on track with what looks like a very manageable stretch ahead.
