ImpactBarcello was unable to match his dominant performance against Pepperdine earlier this month when he made nine threes, although he was just two boards shy of a double-double. The 44 percent long-range shooter closes the regular season having made a three-pointer in all but two games. The Cougars will rely heavily on the senior when they begin their WCC Tournament run Mar. 4.

Maxwell Lewis - Out for season with wrist issueLewis will miss the rest of the 2021-22 season due to a wrist injury, Greg Wrubell of BYU Athletics reports.

ImpactLewis missed the past four games after suffering the injury Feb. 12 against BYU, and he's now been ruled out for the rest of the campaign. He averaged 11.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals in 19.6 minutes over 21 games during his freshman season.

Jade' Smith - Out again SaturdaySmith (undisclosed) was unavailable for Saturday's loss to BYU, Greg Wrubell of BYU Athletics reports.

ImpactSmith missed four consecutive games due to an undisclosed injury, but he was able to return to action Thursday against Santa Clara. He drew the start but only played a season-low 13 minutes and was sidelined again Saturday. It's unclear if the two absences are related, but either way, his status for the WCC Tournament, which starts March 3, is certainly in jeopardy.
