Broncos could miss this promising pass rusher for two weeks

Kenny Anunike led the Broncos in tackles against the Seahawks last Friday.

On Thursday, he'll lead their injury report. The breakout defensive end will undergo arthroscopic surgery to remedy a suddenly-swollen knee, according to KUSA in Denver.

Anunike could miss up to two weeks. That's crucial time he could've used to carve out a spot on a defense he deemed incredibly dangerous.

He's used to bouncing back from crushing news like this. The Duke product was the talk of camp before suffering a torn elbow ligament last preseason.

Head coach Gary Kubiak tabbed rookie Darius Kilgo and veteran Vance Walker to replace the promising pass rusher. Denver could also sneak into the free agent market to find help until Anunike returns.
