Bills promote CB Roberson from practice squad

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) The Buffalo Bills have promoted cornerback Marcus Roberson from the practice squad to the 53-man roster., the team announced Saturday.

The Bills had open roster spots after releasing wide receiver Ed Eagen and tight end Manasseh Garner on Friday. The team also promoted tight end Gerald Christian from the practice squad.

Roberson, 24, has played in 25 games since signing with the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2014.

The Bills (4-3) host the New England Patriots (6-1) on Sunday.
