2 restricted free agents re-sign with Indianapolis

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 7:06 p.m. ET

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) The Indianapolis Colts have re-signed tight end Jack Doyle and safety Akeem Davis.

Both players were restricted free agents.

The 6-foot-7, 267-pound Doyle grew up in Indianapolis and has seen his role increase in each of his first three seasons with the Colts. It could happen again after Coby Fleener wound up with New Orleans in free agency. Doyle has caught 35 passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns.

Indy claimed Doyle off waivers from Tennessee after the undrafted rookie was released in 2013.

Davis has one career tackle in 19 games and has played for four teams, including the Colts, who signed him during last season.
