UFC matchmakers didn’t have a ton of new fights to announce this week outside of a few preliminary bouts on some upcoming cards, but the injury bug bit quite a few competitors over the last week.

Most notably at the top of the UFC Fight Night on FOX Sports 1 card in Bangor, Maine as a new co-main event came together when Abel Trujillo was forced out of his scheduled bout against Ross Pearson last minute before the show. Now Pearson will face two-time title contender Gray Maynard in a lightweight bout on the card.

Also, Urijah Faber was forced out of his scheduled bout at UFC Fight Night in Japan and he will be replaced by his last opponent, Alex Caceres, who now meets Masanori Kanehara on September 20.
