Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant will call it a career following one final game on Wednesday night as he laces up his sneakers for the last time on an NBA court.

"I can only say thank you for everything you've (done) for sports, my brother," Silva wrote. "Your willpower overcomes all barriers. Being an idol as you are isn't for everybody, bro.

"Thanks for giving us so many joy. I'm your fan. Eternal happiness in your life, you deserve all the best today and always."

Current UFC light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier kept things simple when paying tribute to Bryant and his accomplishments on the court.

And finally, FOX UFC Fight Night headliner Rashad Evans posted his own photo with Bryant on Instagram and shared a few words and a quote from the Black Mamba.

"Respects to the legend Kobe Bryant for a great career," Evans wrote. "Father time will eventually come for us all. I'm glad I was able to watch this Legend play from the beginning to the end of his career. Much respect!"

Bryant will finish what is certainly a Hall of Fame career on Wednesday night, when the Lakers play the Utah Jazz in Los Angeles.
