Jets attempt trick move from TCU playbook

Published Oct. 28, 2014 12:40 a.m. ET

Sunday afternoon, Rex Ryan and the New York Jets attempted an interesting play on a kickoff return against the Buffalo Bills.

During the third quarter, Percy Harvin took the deep ball in the end zone, while to his side, T.J. Graham fell to the turf as if he was camouflaged from the Bills special team defenders.

While it may have seemed like a one-of-a-kind Ryan special, the play actually originated nearly 1,600 miles away in Fort Worth, Texas when TCU took on Oklahoma in Big 12 play over two weeks prior.

The play unfortunately didn't work out as well as for the Jets as it did for the Frogs when Harvin held the ball too long and was downed within in the five-yard line.
