Gophers' forward Joey King earned his first weekly conference award on Monday, taking home Big ten Co-Player of the Week honors after leading the Minnesota men's basketball team to wins over the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Louisiana-Monroe.
King picked up back-to-back 20-point games over the weekend, including a career-best 22 points and six three-pointers against UMKC.
A native of nearby Eagan, King ranks second in the Big Ten with 21 points per game, and shared the weekly award with Northwestern's Alex Olah.
Next up for Minnesota is a trip to San Juan for the Puerto Rico Tip-Off, where the Gophers square off against Temple on Thursday.
