Impact Durkin has turned a corner since entering the starting lineup for Minnesota four games ago, averaging 10.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in that span. He's also been solid from beyond the arc all season, and canned three triples in the win over Campbell. Durkin is quickly developing into a key piece for the Gophers as conference play looms.

Sure, they were easy wins against overmatched opponents, but it's good to see the sophomore guard pick up steam with the meat of conference play right around the corner. Asuma has been one of the Gophers' best facilitators this season, averaging 4.7 assists across 12 games thus far.

Impact Tyson has been a walking bucket since he got to Minneapolis, but the UNC transfer took his game to another level in the Gophers' win over Texas Southern on Sunday. He poured on 38 points while hitting a career-high eight triples, and wound up with his first double-double of the year as well as he dominated the glass with 11 rebounds. Tyson has been a revelation in Dinkytown this season, and with Campbell and Fairleigh-Dickinson up next, he has a great chance to keep it up.

Impact Grove's six points off the bench were a career high for the freshman forward. He's been getting more involved as of late, and his five field goal attempts were also the most shots he's put up as a Gopher. Grove has quietly earned a solid role immediately upon stepping on campus in Minneapolis, but don't expect a big outing from him anytime soon.

Impact Crocker-Johnson was Minnesota's leading scorer against Purdue, but he needed 13 shots for his 17 points and was nearly a non-factor in the paint, pulling down a season-low two rebounds. The Boilermakers will give plenty of teams trouble this season, and it's good to see Crocker-Johnson still manage to have a solid night even in defeat. He should be primed to stack good performances, as the Gophers' next three opponents are Texas Southern, Campbell and Fairleigh-Dickinson.

Impact Shinholster's minutes have fluctuated significantly, but his 18 minutes in the loss to Purdue was his second-highest playing time on the season. Still, he only offered two points on 1-of-4 shooting, unable to make a true impact as Minnesota got lapped in the second half en route to a sound defeat. Ultimately, Shinholster isn't yet a regular contributor for the Gophers this season.

Impact Tyson has been a scoring machine for the Gophers, but his 15 points against the Boilermakers was his second-lowest output of the season. He did manage to contribute in other ways, with four boards and four dimes as well, but the Gophers got thoroughly roughed up in the second half en route to a sound defeat. The last two games for Minnesota seem to indicate Tyson's numbers might dip in the thick of conference play, but he should remain the Gophers' top scoring option for now.

Impact Reynolds has started for the Gophers the past three games, and he's played well in each of them. Against Purdue, he once again hit double figures and was reasonably efficient from the field. Minnesota got destroyed in the second half after playing the Boilermakers close early, but Reynolds has evolved into a solid starter in Minneapolis.
