Buccaneers DE Da'Quan Bowers suspended 2 games for violating PED policy

TAMPA, Fla. -- Da'Quan Bowers is the latest Tampa Bay Buccaneers player to be suspended for violating the NFL's policy of performance-enhancing substances.

Tuesday, the team announced that the fourth-year defensive lineman will be suspended without pay for the team's next two games. Last Wednesday, fullback Jorvorskie Lane was suspended for the Bucs' next two games without pay for the same offense. Both players are eligible to return to the Bucs' active roster Nov. 3, a day after Tampa Bay's Week 9 game against the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Bowers, a disappointment after he was taken in the second round (51st overall) from Clemson in 2011, has just six tackles and one sack in five games played this season.
