Should the Buffalo Sabres draft Jack Eichel in June, he won't be the only Boston University product on their roster.
The Sabres signed BU forward and assistant captain Evan Rodrigues to a two-year contract Wednesday. Rodrigues was an undrafted free agent who completed his senior season with the Terriers.

He had 21 goals and 40 assists for 61 points to finish second in the nation behind Eichel last season. Overall, Rodrigues had 41 goals and 79 assists for 121 points in 146 career games.
The Sabres, who finished last, have the No. 2 pick after losing the draft lottery to Edmonton on Saturday. That puts Buffalo in a position to select Eichel, who is projected to go second behind Erie Otters center Connor McDavid.
