Bruins forward Brad Marchand tries hand at orchestra performance
Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand showed he is a man of many talents Sunday when he spent an off-day performing a special reading of "'Twas The Night Before Christmas" at the Boston Pops' 2015 Holiday Pops concert.
Marchand is the second Bruin in recent years to deliver the reading of the holiday poem, as former Bruin Shawn Thornton has previously joined the orchestra for the reading of the celebratory poem. Marchand told reporters at Monday's practice that the performance was a little more nerve-wracking than playing hockey.

Marchand was back on familiar ground Monday night, as he recorded a goal -- his team-leading 15th tally of the season -- in the B's 3-2 overtime loss to the Edmonton Oilers.
"I met with the conductor (Keith Lockhart) before, and he kind of filled me in on how they were going to play and where I was breaking and everything,” Marchand told reporters. “I felt a little more calm and confident, but I was still nervous up there. It’s a different scene for me. I just tried to keep it simple and read from the script, and that was it. Plain Jane."
