Minnesota Vikings kicker Blair Walsh started the season under a great deal of scrutiny, but he has since put together a stretch of near-perfect play. Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press noted that Walsh's 40-yard field goal to beat the St. Louis Rams in overtime was his 15th successful kick in a row.
It was also Walsh's second consecutive game-winning field goal. He kicked a 36-yarder to lift the Vikings to a 23-20 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 8.

Walsh, who has made 17 of his 19 field-goal attempts this season, hasn't missed a try since Week 4 against the Denver Broncos. His only mishap since this stretch of efficient play began was a missed extra point during Minnesota's 28-19 victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 7.
