J.J. Wilcox on Greg Hardy: 'He's an amazing man, I love him'

When the Dallas Cowboys signed Greg Hardy, they knew that they were taking a risk from a public relations standpoint. The reported details to Hardy's domestic violence case are quite gruesome, and some teammates have already expressed their concerns. Don't count Cowboys safety J.J. Wilcox as one of them.

Wilcox is not concerned with Hardy's pat actions and he's confused by the suspension levied on Hardy by the NFL.

“It’s crazy,” safety J.J. Wilcox said.  “I’ve seen how hard he works and how much he loves the game, so that being said, it’s tough to see him suspended off the field. But he’s a great player. He works hard every day and he’s amazing man. I love him.”

Hardy was suspended for 10 games by the NFL, but his suspension was announced after the Cowboys signed him. Until the announcement, it was expected that his suspension would land somewhere in the four-to-six game range.

With Hardy out of the picture for a large portion of the 2015 regular season, the Cowboys would do well to add a defensive lineman on day two of the draft.
