DeAngelo Williams has a message for his fantasy football owners
When fantasy football boomed a decade ago and became commonplace sport as opposed to a mysterious game of predominately male nerdball, NFL players began to hear more and more about their fantasy performances. "That's all I hear now," Rams running back Todd Gurley said about fantasy. "'Thanks for winning me that game' or 'Thanks for getting me those points.'"
In other words, players are aware that they're fantasy commodities. And some of them, when they deliver big performances, like to give a shoutout to their investors. Here's Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams on Monday morning after a solid (real and fantasy) outing against the Bengals on Sunday:

The 33-year-old Williams, filling in admirably for suspended starter Le'Veon Bell, rushed for 94 yards (only a 2.9 average but irrelevant in fantasy!) and caught four passes for 38 yards and a touchdown. Enjoy it while it lasts, folks, because Williams is about to take a back seat.
