All eyes are on new Chargers rookie running back Melvin Gordon
Melvin Gordon caught a simple little swing pass and turned upfield in his first practice with the Chargers.
Then, per reports, he turned on the afterburners, blew right by the Chargers' second-round draft pick, and reminded everyone in attendance why he could be the long-awaited answer in San Diego's backfield.
I can get used to watching @Melvingordon25 take a pass out of the backfield and blaze down the sideline.

Everyone lined up to get a glimpse of Gordon in his first practice. ESPN's Eric D. Williams said that even team scouts craned their necks to watch the Wisconsin product run.
Head coach Mike McCoy thinks his new rookie did not disappoint.
“But he made a few of those moves and those cuts," McCoy told reporters. "And you understand why we picked him where we did.”
A word of caution -- the Chargers weren't having a full-speed practice by any means. Gordon still looked fast enough to blow by linebacker Denzel Perryman, though.
Imagine how quick Gordon will look once he gets the Bolts' offense down-pat.
“I came in a little late, so it’s overloading a little bit right now," Gordon said. "But Coach is doing a good job of bringing me along.”
