Warriors reportedly agree to one-year deal with veteran big man David West
Many wondered how the Golden State Warriors would fill out their roster after landing Kevin Durant. The club continues to answer that question, agreeing to a one-year, $1.29 million deal with veteran power forward David West, TNT reported Tuesday.
West, 35, played last season with the Spurs, averaging 7.1 points and four rebounds in a reserve role.
This deal comes less than 24 hours after the Warriors reportedly landed center Zaza Pachulia on a one-year, $2.9 million deal.
Golden State had to clear cap space in order to fit Durant, who reportedly will get a two-year, $54 million deal, under the salary cap. The team traded Andrew Bogut to the Mavs and renounced the rights to Harrison Barnes, who reportedly will sign a four-year, $94 million deal with Dallas.
No deals can become official until Thursday, the end of the NBA's moratorium period.
Once these deals become official, the Warriors would have Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Durant, Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, Pachulia and West under contract for next season.
