Warriors GM Myers: Kerr spinal cord leak procedure went well

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 2:30 p.m. ET

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) The spinal cord leak procedure Golden Warriors coach Steve Kerr had Friday at Duke University went well according to general manager Bob Myers, but there is no timetable for his return.

Kerr had back surgery about two years ago and has been dealing with complications. Assistant Mike Brown took over as acting coach for Game 3 of the first-round series against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Myers said Sunday that doctors don't even have a timeline for Kerr's recovery. He added Kerr is still in a ''gray area,'' so no one knows when he'll be able to return to the sidelines.

Kerr did not travel to Salt Lake City for the Warriors' 102-91 victory over the Utah Jazz on Saturday night that gave Golden State a 3-0 lead in the Western Conference second-round series.
