Suns fall to the Pelicans
The Suns struggled to contain the duo of Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday as they combine for 64 points in a loss to the Pelicans Monday night.

The Pelican duo led their team while shooting 53% on 43 shots. Davis had nine boards and five blocks to go along with his 34 points. Holiday flirted with a near triple double collecting nine rebounds, seven assists, and also three blocks.
The Suns star backcourt of Bledsoe and Booker struggled mightily this game only scoring 28 points on 29 attempts. Booker’s streak of 16 straight games with at least 20 points was ended tonight while only accumulating 14 points on 20 attempts. Booker had roughly five of his shots blocked tonight, It seemed as though nothing was going his way tonight. T.J. Warren had a bounce back game scoring 20 points while swatting away three shots in 33 minutes.
The first quarter consisted of sluggish play by the Suns starters as Bledsoe picked up two early fouls and Booker shot 3-8. It was not until the second quarter did the Suns pick up the pace with the second unit leading the charge. The veteran lineup of Knight, Barbosa, Tucker, Dudley, and Warren sparked enough energy to bring the Suns back to take the lead 39-37 with 3:47 left in the half.

The referees were letting them play in the first half with only six free throws attempted by both teams.
It remained a close game all the way up until the end of the 4th when the Pelicans began to pull away. Watson used the small ball lineup of Barbosa, Knight, Booker, Tucker, and Dudley again to stay in the game. At the 4 minute mark Watson substituted Chandler, Warren, and Bledsoe back into the game and the Pelicans took control. The small ball lineup did surprisingly well keeping pace even though Anthony Davis was on the court.
The Pelicans went on an 8-2 run at the end of the 4th to solidify the 111-106 victory.
This marks the 13th time this season where the Suns have had six players in double figures.
