Storm pushes back Sunday's Thunder-Nets game by 4 hours

Updated Mar. 5, 2020 1:53 a.m. ET

NEW YORK (AP) The NBA has pushed back the starting time of Sunday's game in New York between the Brooklyn Nets and the Oklahoma City Thunder because of the blizzard that walloped much of the East Coast.

The league says the game originally scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at the Barclays Center will now be played at 7:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service says 26.6 inches of snow fell in Central Park on Saturday, a one-day record for the city. The snow stopped falling shortly after 10 p.m.

A travel ban keeping non-emergency workers off the roads was lifted early Sunday. Transit officials expect a gradual return of service.
