The Santa Cruz Warriors dropped a close game on Tuesday, losing 102-99 against the Texas Legends at the Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco, Texas.
The Santa Cruz Warriors (17-14) were unable to bounce back from their loss last Saturday against the Northern Arizona Suns (14-15), losing 102-99 to the Texas Legends (14-16) on Tuesday at Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco, Texas.
Santa Cruz will be back home at Kaiser Permanente Arena on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 7:00 p.m. PST to host the Austin Spurs on the first night of a back-to-back series.
On Sunday, Feb 12 at 6:00 p.m. PST, the Sea Dubs will play the Oklahoma City Blue in what will be Santa Cruz’s first game ever at Oracle Arena, home of SCW’s NBA-affiliate Golden State Warriors. Santa Cruz will then hit the road once again to travel to Oklahoma City to play the Blue on Valentine’s Day.

Neither team shot particularly well all night, but Santa Cruz came out relatively flat early, starting the game down 29-18 in the first quarter. The Warriors staged a comeback late in the game, outscoring the Legends 25-15 in the fourth. Unfortunately, the comeback effort came just a hair short of eclipsing the deficit.
