Russell Westbrook named Player of the Week

Oklahoma City star point guard Russell Westbrook was named Western Conference Player of the Week for games played on Monday, Dec. 21 through Sunday, Dec. 27, according to the NBA.
Westbrook led the Thunder to a 3-1 week, averaging 28.0 points (second in the West), 8.8 assists (fourth in the West), 7.3 rebounds and 3.0 steals (tied for first in the conference).
Westbrook is averaging 25.5 points, 6.9 rebounds, 9.4 assists and 2.4 steals in 34.4 minutes this season -- almost certainly his best one to date.
