Report: Thunder, Nets discussing blockbuster deal involving Lopez

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 3:06 p.m. ET

The Oklahoma City Thunder haven't given up hope on landing center Brook Lopez.

The Thunder are in serious negotiations with the Brooklyn Nets involving Lopez for a package that would include Thunder guard Reggie Jackson, Yahoo Sports/FOX Sports 1 NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported hours before Thursday's NBA trade deadline.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Philadelphia 76ers might also become part of a bigger, four-team deal that would include Nets forward Kevin Garnett and Timberwolves forward Thaddeus Young, Wojnarowski reports.

The Nets are gauging Jackson's willingness to commit long-term with the team, according to Wojnarowski. The Thunder would include center Kendrick Perkins and forward Perry Jones in the proposed trade.

Jackson turned down a four-year, $48 million extension with the Thunder. He wants out of Oklahoma City in order to become a starter.

The teams engaged in trade talks involving Lopez in January, but that proposed deal, which also included the Charlotte Hornets, fell through.
