Report: Nuggets have offered Mike Miller a one-year deal

The Portland Trail Blazers have decided to waive veteran swingman Mike Miller, and the Denver Nuggets didn't take long to try and snatch him up.
According to Marc Stein of ESPN.com, the Nuggets have offered Miller a one-year deal. Miller will have to clear the waiver process first.
Miller, 35, has played for six different teams throughout his career. He last appeared with the Cleveland Cavaliers, before being traded to the Portland Trail Blazers this offseason. The Blazers, in the midst of a youth movement, waived the veteran sharpshooter.
Although the Nuggets are also a young team, there are some veterans present in Jameer Nelson, Darrell Arthur and others. Miller could potentially provide insurance behind injury-prone forward Wilson Chandler and Danilo Gallinari.
