Report: Knicks waiving Ricky Ledo to 'pave way' for Thanasis Antetokounmpo

We've been hearing about Thanasis Antetokounmpo since just last year in New York, but it feels like much longer than that.

One of the Knicks' two 2014 second-round picks (the other was Cleanthony Early) seems to be on his way to the bigs after multiple years in the D-League, spending this past season with New York's NBDL affiliate Westchester Knicks.

From Marc Berman of the New York Post:

"Ledo’s axing is expected to pave the way for the long-awaited signing of Antetokounmpo, according to sources."

The Knicks waived Ledo on Thursday after an underwhelming summer league performance from the former second-rounder who was once a top high-school recruit. Now, it seems the 23-year-old Antetokounmpo will finally get his chance at the Garden.
