Report: Dirk will rest tonight against the Warriors
Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki will not play tonight against the Golden State Warriors, according to reports. He will be held out to rest after hitting the game-winning shot Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Mavs coach Rick Carlisle has been fairly consistent resting Nowitzki on the second night of a back-to-back, and especially in road games. Nowitzki played right at his average of about 30 minutes Tuesday in the 92-90 win at the Lakers. Dallas will play its second game of five in seven nights, likely playing into Carlisle's thinking to rest Nowitzki against the Warriors.

The last two times Dallas played the second game of a back-to-back on the road, Carlisle rested four starters, including Nowitzki both times.
Against the Warriors, who are 21-0 at home, Dallas will also be without center Zaza Pachulia, who continues to nurse a sore right Achilles tendon, and guard Devin Harris is questionable with a left great toe sprain.
