Report: Charlotte Hornets' Michael Kidd-Gilchrist nearing return to play

Published Feb. 19, 2015 1:00 p.m. ET

Charlotte Hornets wing Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has been sidelined by an injured hamstring since he came up limping after chasing down a loose ball in the Hornets' game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Feb. 7. An MRI before the All-Star break revealed no permanent damage, and Charlotte has eagerly awaited MKG's return since receiving the good news.

Take heart, Hornets fans: Kidd-Gilchrist will almost certainly be back in the lineup this weekend.
