Pistons' Reggie Jackson could miss 6-8 weeks with knee tendinitis
Coach Stan Van Gundy told reporters at Wednesday's practice that Detroit Pistons starting point guard Reggie Jackson could miss up to 6-8 weeks while being treated for tendinitis in his left knee.

To clarify, #Pistons Reggie Jackson COULD miss as long as 6-8 weeks, depending on treatment option he chooses.

Van Gundy added that the next steps in terms of treatment will be Jackson's decision, and that pursuing a trade to replace him is unlikely given that he'll be sidelined for a relatively short period of time. Ish Smith will start at point guard while Jackson is out.
Jackson, 26, started in all 79 of his regular-season appearances last year. He averaged a career-best 18.8 points, to go along with 3.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists in 30.7 minutes per contest.
